At Precision for Medicine, we are proud to stand alongside our partners at the United MSD Foundation (CureMSD) to raise awareness for Multiple Sulfatase Deficiency (MSD)—an ultra-rare genetic disorder affecting children worldwide. This year’s theme, “Blue Waves of Hope,” is a global call to action. From landmark illuminations to community events, the world is turning blue to spotlight the urgent need for research, newborn screening, and support for families impacted by MSD. As a partner in #raredisease research, we are honored to support the United MSD Foundation’s mission to accelerate clinical research and bring hope to families facing MSD.

Last week, Precision for Medicine celebrated a major milestone at our flagship site in Frederick, MD, home to our world class biorepository, specialty lab, and kitting operations. The completion of our facility rejuvenation project modernized both office and repository spaces, all while maintaining uninterrupted support for over 25 million samples. We marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by city, county, and state leaders, including the Mayor of Frederick. We also noted our ongoing community engagement, from Girls on the Run and Frederick Pride to workforce development through the Biotech Bootcamp. As Frederick continues to be recognized as a great place to live and play, Precision is proud to be part of a community that values innovation, collaboration, and impact. And we’re just getting started.
